If you have been following the blog for a while (before the new branding) You will definitely recognize the little girl in the last image. That is because we have been photographing Marley since she was a newborn and now have had the great privilege of welcome her little brother Falson into the world by capture his beauty for all to see and celebrate!

This Baby Portrait Session was short but sweet. The parents are some good friends of ours and the sessions and images were a surprise Christmas present to the mother who stepped was out of the house for a couple hours. I didn't think that we would pull it off without ruining the surprise, but we did just that and needless to say she was presently surprise come Christmas morning.

Boulder Child Photography :: Morning Light

Yesterday morning I was sitting down feeding my daughter Amaliyah some eggs when I was overwhelmingly captivated by the beauty of the moment. It was one of those times as a parent when you step out of yourself and look at the situation with a new perspective, which often leaves you in awe and with a realization that your little one is growing up FAST!

I lingered in the moment for quite some time then awoke with the need to capture as best I could the moment that took my breath away. These images are what resulted from that effort and are a reminder to me and to everyone that our children are constantly growing and if we don't cherish each moment they will be grown before we know it.

Louisville Child Photographer :: Baby Liam

Here are a couple of quick photos from my recent session with the Baby Liam and his family last weekend in Downtown Louisville. I have never photographed there before and was very pleasantly surprised by the vast offerings of settings in such a condensed area. It's like a mini LODO up north.

These are just the preliminary batch of images that I have edited so there will be more to come in the near future.

Stapleton Family Photographer :: The L Family

I had so much fun photographing the L family this weekend. They are so photogenic and an absolute blast to work with! Our session took place near Northfield Stapleton which if you haven't been there is a great little shopping area. We played in the grass and enjoyed the wonderful weather as we snapped away letting the fall colors and turning leaves set our backdrop.

I decided to go with mostly natural lighting for this set of images (we did pop a little fill at times), one for the ease and two so that I could focus more of my attention and efforts on capturing these genuine moments of interaction instead of fussing over the technicalities of lighting and "producing" a shoot. It's these moments captured that create great family portraits and works of art worthy of hanging on a wall.
